Crisp Wonton Cups Stuffed with Creamy Buffalo Chicken
All the beloved flavor of Buffalo chicken dip packaged into crunchy, single-serving pastry cups. No messy dripping or broken chips β just neat, delicious party bites.
Ingredients
- 24 square wonton wrappers
- Cooking spray or melted butter for brushing
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream or ranch dressing
- 1/3 cup Frank's RedHot sauce
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese or gorgonzola
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Directions
Pre-bake wonton cups
Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Lightly spray a 24-cup mini muffin pan with cooking spray. Press a wonton wrapper into each cup. Bake for 6β7 minutes until lightly golden and firm.
Mix buffalo filling
In a mixing bowl, stir together softened cream cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, shredded chicken, and 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar until creamy.
Fill and top
Spoon 1 rounded tablespoon of chicken filling into each baked wonton cup. Top with remaining cheddar and crumbled blue cheese.
Bake until bubbly
Return to the oven for 8β10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve warm.
