The One-Bowl Coffee Cake I Can't Stop Making
A classic bakery-style coffee cake made in one bowl. The thick brown sugar and cinnamon streusel runs through the center of the cake and piles high on top for maximum crunch with your morning coffee. Difficulty: Easy.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour & 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter & 1 cup sour cream & 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder & 1/2 tsp baking soda & 1 tsp vanilla
- Streusel: 3/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 cup flour, 3 tbsp cold butter
Directions
Make one-bowl batter
Whisk butter, sugar, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Fold in flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
Layer with cinnamon streusel
Spread half the batter in an 8x8 pan. Sprinkle half the streusel. Spread remaining batter and top with remaining streusel.
Bake until golden
Bake at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 40β45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
