Also known as 'Ritz Crack': buttery Ritz crackers lined up on a sheet pan, drenched in a 3-minute boiled butter-brown sugar caramel, and topped with melted chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Incredibly crunchy, salty, and sweet. Difficulty: Easy.
Ingredients
- 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 35 crackers)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans or peanuts
Directions
Line sheet with crackers
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Arrange Ritz crackers in a single tight layer.
Boil toffee and pour
Boil butter and brown sugar in a saucepan for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour hot caramel evenly over crackers; bake at 375Β°F for 5 mins.
Melt chocolate and chill
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top; let melt 2 mins, then spread smooth. Scatter chopped nuts and chill 1 hour to set before cutting into bars.
