A nostalgic 1990s church potluck legend: chocolate chip cookie dough pressed into the bottom of a casserole dish, topped with hot fudge, yellow cake mix, and butter, creating molten chocolate pockets under cake. Difficulty: Easy.
Ingredients
- 1 roll (16 oz) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1 jar (12 oz) hot fudge sauce, warmed slightly
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter & 1/2 cup chocolate chips for top
Directions
Press cookie dough
Break cookie dough into pieces and press across bottom of a greased 9x13 dish.
Layer fudge and cake mix
Pour hot fudge over cookie dough. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top, then drizzle with melted butter.
Bake until golden
Scatter chocolate chips on top. Bake at 350Β°F for 40β45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
